Feels like summer
What do you like to do on summer vacation? Hot, lazy days on a floatie in the lake? Reading a good book in a hammock in the shade? Fresh roll kuchen and watermelon?
This summer, a brother and sister from Inasmuch got to experience summer camp for the first time at Camp Luther, thanks to the generous people who donate to the campership fund.
They made friends, sang in chapel, tried new foods, and experienced the heart of Camp Luther - where the values are Safety, Fun and God's Love!

“We’re so grateful to this local, Christian camp for their financial support through ‘camperships.’ ”
For most of us, summer means time away, camping trips, beach days, and family holidays. But for refugee claimants, the reality is starkly different. With no extended family nearby, limited resources, and the weight of resettling in a new country, even a short break is out of reach.
Without generous donors, newcomers couldn’t afford to send their kids to camp, where they can experience joy and freedom, something every child deserves. In fact, many families struggle to afford essentials for the upcoming school year.
Send a Refugee Claimant to School
Going to school is tough for a kid who fled their home and said good-bye to everyone they knew. They often need to learn a new language, make all new friends and figure out social and cultural cues. On top of that, their parents have the financial pressure of buying items they can’t afford. We currently have a need to provide school supplies for two children who are currently residents in our houses starting school in Canada in the fall.
Gift cards towards school supplies can be dropped off at our office.
